Weekly Classes

Every Thursday Night, except major holidays.

Classes are offered weekly on Thursday nights at the Raleigh Jaycee Community Center located at 2405 Wade Avenue in Raleigh.

Beginners and Review -- 5:30pm - 6pm

General Class -- 6pm - 8pm

The cost of each 8-week session is $35 for Raleigh residents and $50 for non-Raleigh residents.

Enjoy learning to clog, or double-step up to something more advanced! All levels of learners welcome -- it’s fun, and great exercise, in an open, non-competitive environment. Partners are not necessary, and “line” (individual)  dances as well as traditional figures are taught. Clogging is the wonderful percussive dance often seen when bluegrass or old-time music is playing - though this class incorporates pop songs as well. Clogging - or "buckdancing" - began in the mountains of North Carolina, and has spread all over the world! Tap shoes or hard-sole shoes are best, but any shoe is fine! 6 - 8pm (arrive any time and stay as long as you like).
